Elephind Shutdown: Checkout Veridian Newspaper Collections
Elephind Shutdown: You may remember the historical newspaper resource Elephind which offered free access to over 200 million publications. The Elephind website went dark in October 2023, and Elephind’s parent company – Veridian – now controls access to those newspapers on its site.
The only real problem is there is no overall search mechanism for the collections: you must click on Projects at the Veridian site (https://veridiansoftware.com/collections/) and then scroll through to find collections which might help your genealogy research.

While most publications within the Veridian collections appear to be college and university newspapers, make sure you click on Public Libraries as well as Historical Societies to find local newspapers for towns like Cambridge, Massachusetts and others.
