FREE GENEALOGY STUFF: FamilySearch Library Classes and Webinars for October 2023
The FamilySearch Library announces new free webinars for October 2023 on Family Tree processes, the FamilySearch Wiki, US Court Records, Norway Church Records and Jurisdictions, and Organizing and laying the Groundwork for a Successful Research Project. This month’s offerings also feature one special session for Spanish speakers entitled “Una introducción al registro civil” (An introduction to civil registration).
Click on the links below for additional details and registration information. All class times are in Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). If you cannot attend a live event, most sessions are recorded and can be viewed later at your convenience at FamilySearch Library classes and webinars.

FREE GENEALOGY STUFF: New Free Historical Records on FamilySearch 3 September 2023
In the week of 3 September 2023, FamilySearch added 1.7 million new indexed family history records to its online archives from 37 different countries. The United States, Argentina, Luxembourg, and Colombia each added over 100,000 records. Thousands more indexed records were added to existing collections from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe.
