Did you know that most memberships at Ancestry auto-renew? If you don’t mark your calendar and CANCEL before your membership renews, you will likely renew at the FULL RATE!
Here’s how to CANCEL your current membership now to prevent auto-renew and STILL KEEP ALL THE MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS until the expiration date.
NOTE: You cannot “extend” your current Ancestry membership! The process below will “cancel” your current membership and offer you a credit for the time remaining.

Step 1: LOG OUT OF ANCESTRY. You cannot see the current sale if you are logged in and have an active membership.
Step 2: Click LINK and then click on SALE and then select the membership level you want and click Become a member.
Step 3: DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT! Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click SIGN IN next to Already have an account?
Step 4: Depending on how much time is remaining on your current membership, you will be asked to confirm the change. My current membership expires 23 March 2024 so I will be given a credit towards the purchase of the 6-month All Access membership. Click Confirm and proceed.
Step 5: You will see an order summary. Scroll down and make payment to complete the process.
