Related Faces is a powerful technology to enhance your genealogical searches and uses AI (artificial intelligence) to scan your photos and isolate faces. “From here we compare those faces with our entire database, returning pairings with photos from your own collection as well as others. These pairings can help you fill in the blanks of your photo mysteries as well as connect you with users who may have more details.”

What is Related Faces?

• Easily upload photos to our system, and fill in any details you know about the photograph and those in it. Sit back and watch the magic, as our patent pending process maps faces and creates profiles. Each face is compared to every other face in our database, including from the United States Library of Congress.

• Faces with a high level of similarity are presented to you as potential matches. You decide if the faces in a pairing are a match. It’s a Match! With each match you may:

Founder and CEO Tina LaFreniere and husband John

Tina LaFreniere is the founder and CEO of Related Faces Technologies. She a graduate of The University of Houston where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. She is a former Assistant Vice President and Production Manager for a mortgage brokerage firm in Dallas, Texas. Tina began her genealogical journey over 15 years ago and along the way has inherited thousands of photos from her family, hundreds with no identification.

These photos were the inspiration for Related Faces back in 2018 when she conceived the idea for Related Faces, and the site was launched in February of 2022. Tina is a member of the Genealogical Society of Collier County, Florida, the National Genealogical Society and The Photo Managers Group.
